University of Silesia, a special-purpose company of the university SPIN-US and Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa signed a letter of intent to cooperate in the implementation of projects aimed at responsible restoration of the natural values of habitats in areas transformed as a result of mining and industrial activities.

The declaration assumes research and development works consisting in the identification of the status and potential of the environment based on the latest knowledge about the functioning of the environment. Undertaken actions are not only aimed at improving the condition of the natural environment, but also at improving the quality of human life through the increase of environmental values of areas transformed as a result of human activity.

The latest scientific achievements will be used to solve environmental problems. Initiatives will be implemented with the participation of scientific and expert staff, which will allow to develop modern solutions and to implement innovations and environmentally friendly technologies.
