The world’s largest congress on atmospheric discharges, International Conference on Lightning Protection 2018, will take place until 7 September at Rzeszów University of Technology. The conference is organized by the Rzeszów University together with the Polish Lightning Protection Committee operating within the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers.

The conference is attended by scientists from 41 countries. Over 200 presentations will be attended in 30 sessions. The most, as many as 40 papers, will be delivered by researchers from Japan. Rzeszow University of Technology will present the results of research on issues related to the physics of atmospheric discharges, carried out in the research station of the Rzeszów university, which is equipped with electric field antennas and high-speed video cameras.
