The researchers of the Wrocław University of Technology received the titles of the Innovation Leaders in the competition under the honorary patronage of Jarosław Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education. The prizes were awarded for special merits in the inventiveness.
Dr Joanna Feder-Kubis from the chemical department won in the category of “Female Inventor”. She was awarded for her scientific activity of significant importance not only for the development of science, but also for an innovative economy, for participation in numerous Polish and European patents and patent applications, as well as many awards received both in the country and internationally.
In the “Technology” category, the jury appreciated Prof. Wiesław Fiebig from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering for “The use of mechanical resonance to drive impact machines”. The invention was awarded with numerous international medals and distinctions, contributing to the reduction of energy consumption in the propulsion systems of such machines.
