Sea drone with ultramodern propulsion sets off on the first cruise

09.02.2018

“Autonomous, bionic carrier of sensors” – this is how Michał Latacz calls the NOA Sentinel underwater submarine drone, constructed in his NOA company. The device is used for research and searching for raw materials both on the bottom and under the sea bottom. It is efficient, safe, maneuverable and economical. It operates alone – even two months – without the assistance of the base ship. It reduces search costs by 40 percent.

The NOA Sentinel is equipped with the modern NOA wave propulsion, designed and patented by Michał Latacz. He was inspired by the way the squids moved.

The drone propulsion is set in motion with the special NOA DRIVE wings that move the vehicle. They operate in a quiet, safe for man and the environment way, providing high power and maneuverability.

In the first mission NOA Sentinel will look for freshwater sources under the bottom of the Baltic Sea. In the coming years, the market for autonomous submarine vehicles may grow by more than 22 percent annually. (Kp)
