The self-government of Mazovia will donate 400,000 PLN for the purchase of a virtual anatomical table for the Masovian Public University in Płock. This innovative equipment will be used by students of nursing, obstetrics and cosmetology during classes in anatomy, anatomopathology and physiology. The agreement was signed by the Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship, Adam Struzik, and the Rector of the Masovian Public Higher School, Prof. Maciej Słodki.
The virtual anatomical table presents the virtual human body in real size with realistic and accurate 3D visualization of human anatomy: skeleton, organs and tissues. It will make it easier for students to learn about the structure and distribution of individual organs and enable simulation of the experience from the practices on operating and autopsy tables. This will allow students to better understand the anatomy, functions and processes in the human body.
The anatomical table will be an element of the didactic base facilitating the application for the consent of the Ministry of Education and Science to launch other medical faculties at the Mazowiecka Public Higher School in Płock.
