Silesian Erne team, from the inter-faculty Student Research Club “Application of Methods of Artificial Intelligence AI-METH” operating at the Silesian University of Technology, took fourth place in the competition of drones Droniada 2019.

The competition included three competitions – transporting shipments (“Air bridge – universal cargo module”), searching and tracking a stolen car (“Auto on radio”) and building a wall of foam bricks (“Give a brick”).

The Silesian Erne team won the Open Link Special Prize for the fastest delivery of the shipment in the “Air Bridge” competition and the Special Award of the Institute of Aviation for the fastest car finding based on the color of the car in the “Auto on Radio” competition.

The competitions were organized under the honorary patronage of Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin, President of the Civil Aviation Authority Piotr Samson and Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk.
