The Silesian Football Association (Śl.ZPN) and the Academy of Physical Education (AWF) in Katowice have signed a partnership agreement. As part of the agreement, the university becomes the official partner of the Silesian Football Association and the Silesian Football Academy.
“I am very happy to sign the contract. This is a big deal for the university and I hope it is also a big deal for football. We have signed a contract with the Polish Football Association and the Silesian Football Association will be its operator. Together, we will train coaching staff in football” – says the Rector of the AWF Prof. Gregory Juras.
Henryk Kula, the president of Silesia, was equally enthusiastic. “I am very glad that graduates of this university will also have football qualifications – UEFA B course. I am convinced that we will have great coaches for children and youth. I always say that the foundation of Silesian football training is the training of children and adolescents. Graduates of this university will surely provide this to us”, he said.
