Two fields of study at the Silesian University of Technology – environmental engineering at the Faculty of Environmental and Energy Engineering and logistics at the Faculty of Organization and Management were assessed as the best in Poland in the Engineering Studies Ranking Perspektywy 2018.

The top of the ranking included 5 courses in its categories – which makes the university as the top fourth of the technical high schools, and it gives the third position in Poland considering the particular courses.

21 disciplines were evaluated in the ranking. The rules were prepared by the Chapter, which was chaired by Prof. Michał Kleiber. Its members included experts in the field of higher education and representatives of various branches of industry. The studies were evaluated according to six criteria – prestige, graduates in the labor market, academic potential, scientific effectiveness, didactic potential and innovation.
