Silesian University of Technology has gained another partner – Santander Bank Polska S.A. The cooperation agreement under the Santander Universidades project was signed by the rector Prof. Arkadiusz Mężyk, director of the Academic Business Incubator, Dr Eng. Ireneusz Jóźwiak, director of Santander Universidades in Poland, Wojciech Leśniewski and director of the southern macroregion Arkadiusz Goździk.
The university will receive substantive and financial support for conferences, research and projects, support of entrepreneurship and innovation culture in the academic environment, internationalization of education through foreign scholarships, exchange programs and projects implemented in cooperation with the best universities from different countries, and student support through internships and apprenticeships.
Santander Universidades is one of the key social engagement projects of Santander Bank Polska and the Santander Group. It supports the development of students from almost 1,000 universities in the world, including over 50 in Poland.
