The Industry 4.0 Center was launched at the Silesian University of Technology. It is a university-wide unit established in order to conduct research, development, implementation and training activities disseminating expert knowledge in the industries of the future.

The activities of the Center are international in scope, and its tasks include training and educational activities, development of innovative Industry 4.0 technologies, as well as the new generation of know-how and intellectual property. The Center cooperates in particular with entities with a similar profile of activity and the socio-economic environment.

Equally important for the Center is the possibility of organizing conferences, congresses, debates and meetings promoting the achievements of universities within the Industry 4.0 technology development and integrating national and international scientific and non-scientific environments (economic, political, cultural, etc.).
