Silesian University of Technology obtained the “University of Leaders” certificate and the “Primus” special award granted by the Foundation for the Development of Higher Education. The awards were received during the gala in Warsaw by Prof. Janusz Kotowicz, the Vice-Rector for cooperation with the socio-economic environment.

The certificate confirms that the university teaches students creativity, intellectual independence, decision-making skills, responsibility, communication skills and self-confidence – features useful in fulfilling leadership roles in contemporary society. It is also a confirmation of graduate education in accordance with the needs and requirements of the labor market, cooperation with the socio-economic environment as well as innovation and modernity of the teaching offer.

The “Primus” special distinction is awarded to universities and their organizational units, which in the certification procedure obtained the highest number of points.
