Dr Eng. Wojciech Uchman from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Power Engineering at the Silesian University of Technology, was among the winners of the prestigious scholarship of the Minister of Education and Science (MEiN) for outstanding young scientists and this year’s recipients of the Bekker Programme of the National Agency for Academic Exchange, reports the university.
The decision to award the MEiN scholarship was influenced by scientific publications, as well as the applied nature of Dr Uchman’s research, confirmed by the co-authorship of several patents. The management of a research project and previous international cooperation were also recognised.
A scientist from the Silesian university was also awarded in the Mieczysław Bekker programme. The scholarship holder – in cooperation with a research team from the University of Utah in the United States – will carry out research on the modelling of energy clusters, taking into account energy storage using hydrogen techniques.
