Once again, 58 researchers at the Silesian University of Technology have been ranked among the top 2 % of the most influential scientists in the world in terms of the accepted citation rates of their publications, the university reports.
The classification was divided into two main lists. The first one (Table-1-Authors_career) includes scientific output from the entire career. The second table (Table-1-Authors_singleyr_2022) concerns citations obtained in 2022.
This is the fourth edition of a study initiated in 2019 based on an article in the journal PLOS Biology by authors from Stanford University, Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, presenting a publicly available database providing standardised information including publication achievements.
The list includes the names of scientists ranked on the basis of accepted indicators for assessing scientific output, such as Hirsch index, number of citations, and role and position in the author list. The compilation included specialists from 22 disciplines divided into 174 sub-disciplines.
