The Silesian University of Technology has signed a letter of intent with the Upper Silesian-Zagłębie Metropolis. The document concerns cooperation within the Central European Drone Demonstrator.

The agreement provides for the promotion of scientific activities in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, exchange of information on activities undertaken in this field, involvement of the program’s scientific staff in an expert role, mutual use or organization of test areas, including conducting technology and service tests.

The Central European Drone Demonstrator is an initiative of the Civil Aviation Office, the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency and the Upper Silesian and the Zagłębie Metropolis. The initiative’s partners are the JSW Group, the Polish Development Fund, the Institute of Aviation and the companies Hawk-E and DroneRadar. It is the first platform in Poland to exchange knowledge and support for the acquisition and development of technological solutions, as well as a platform for communication and cooperation of various stakeholders.
