As part of the Initiative of Excellence – Research University program, the Silesian University of Technology is intending to strengthen its scientific staff by employing outstanding scientists, in particular foreigners, who can create and lead research teams, submit an application for financing the project within the Horizon program within a year, and prepare publications for reputable magazines.
The university is also intending to invite exceptional people – Nobel Prize, Fields medal, Kyoto Prize, Mies van der Rohe Prize winners, persons currently implementing ERC grants or Highly Cited Researchers and researchers of the best foreign universities for longer stays.
The University of Technology expects from the invited guests to deliver at least two lectures (at least 1.5 hours), conduct a seminar with doctoral students and / or classes with students, and get acquainted with laboratories related to their research subjects.
