In Katowice, as part of the UN-IGF 2021 Digital Summit – an agreement was signed on the creation of the Silesian Center for Engineering of Law, Technology and Digital Competence CYBER SCIENCE. It will be the first Polish interdisciplinary scientific and research consortium combining technology, Legal Engineering and digital competences.

The agreement was signed by: the rector of the Silesian University of Technology Prof. Eng. Arkadiusz Mężyk, Rector of the University of Silesia in Katowice Prof. Ryszard Koziołek, Rector of the University of Economics in Katowice Prof. Eng. Celina M. Olszak and the director of the Scientific and Academic Computer Network Wojciech Pawlak.

The UN-IGF 2021 Digital Summit is the most important digital event of the year. It is attended by ministers of digitization from all over the world, business representatives from different continents, activists of non-governmental organizations and the scientific community, who make the most important decisions regarding the future of the Internet there.
