The international conference Spanish-Polish Mathematical Congress is underway at the University of Łódź (UŁ) and the Technical University of Łódź. More than 300 scientists and people connected with Spanish or Polish mathematics are taking part, regardless of their nationality and place of work. The proceedings of the conference will last until 8 September.
The event is being held on the initiative of the Polish Mathematical Society (PTM) in collaboration with Spanish societies: Real Sociedad Matemática Española (RSME), Sociedad Española de Matemática Aplicada and Societat Catalana de Matemàtiques (SCM).
The Spanish-Polish Mathematical Convention is a multi-profile international mathematics conference. The congress features plenary papers by mathematicians from Spain and Poland, thematic sessions, panel discussions and informal meetings.
The main objectives of the congress are to strengthen Polish-Spanish cooperation in mathematics and its applications and to promote mathematics in the external environment.
