Employees of the Special Purpose Company of the Poznań University of Economics have created and coordinated the operation of the Virtual Crisis Institute. It is a bottom-up initiative based on the principle of an academic think tank with the main assumption for quickly generating effective and cheap solutions.
The Virtual Crisis Institute is an open internet platform gathering several dozen scientists from over 20 Polish academic centers dealing with epidemiology, economics, management, IT, logistics, psychology, communication and sociology. It is not commercial and all participants of the institute work free.
The scientists of the Institute are working on solutions that are socially and economically useful, ranging from the support system for small and medium-sized enterprises and the system of improving the flow of vehicles on Polish borders, to the development of simple applications enabling more efficient operation in a crisis.
