The University of Management and Computer Science in Rzeszów together with Cisco Networking Academy has inaugurated the Start IT – Cisco4Ukraine programme. 10,000 Ukrainian refugees can benefit from free IT courses.
The Start IT – Cisco4Ukraine programme was designed for Ukrainian refugees who want to build their digital skills. The programme aims to train 10,000 people over the next 2 years. Start IT is part of the Cisco Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) programme in Poland. The courses are taught in Ukrainian.
The aim of the programme is to build basic cyber security skills and awareness, as well as to develop digital competencies and enable careers in the IT sector. “The new career opportunities are particularly important for Ukrainian women who had to resign from their current jobs and are looking for suitable employment”, said Przemysław Kania, general director of Cisco in Poland.
