The State Academy of Applied Sciences (PANS) in Chełm has received a decision from the Minister of Education and Science, Przemysław Czarnek, to approve the establishment of a BA course with a practical profile in the field of ‘midwifery’.
The university has started enrolment for midwifery, which will last until 4 September 2023.
As assured by PANS, students of the new course will gain an in-depth knowledge of maternal and child care, from pregnancy, childbirth to the postnatal period. They will have a solid grounding in anatomy, physiology and medicine, enabling them to provide comprehensive and competent care.
Midwifery graduates can work in a variety of settings such as hospitals, maternity clinics, specialist clinics, as well as run their own practices or work as teachers, assures PANS, adding that due to the ongoing demand for midwifery professionals, graduates can expect stable employment prospects.
