From September 1, 2019, the State Higher Vocational School in Płock officially changed its name to Mazovian Public Collegium. The university in Płock also has a new logo, which was presented to journalists.
– The reason to change the name into the “Collegium” is because the new law on higher education recommended it and a word “public”, not “state” is more associated with universal accessibility – explained rector Prof. Maciej Słodki. And finally “Mazovian” – because we are connected with Płock, where everything has always been and probably will be of Mazovian. Mazovian princes, Mazovian Refinery and Petrochemical Works, Tadeusz Mazowiecki – he added.
The Mazovian Public Collegium began supplementary application process on September 2. This year it offers a lot of novelties e.g. MA studies in internal security with public administration and new specialties in the field of social work: social rehabilitation with social prevention and support for people with disabilities and with senior citizens.
