The State Higher Vocational School (PWSZ) in Chełm will receive PLN 2 million from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for the purchase of a new training aircraft – informed Prof. Józef Zając, Vice Rector of the Chełm Higher School.
The PWSZ air fleet in Chełm will be expanded with a twin-engine aircraft, used in the pilot training.
– This is very important for us, especially since a concrete runway will be built soon, which will enable future pilots to train throughout the year. We are grateful to Minister Jarosław Gowin for this subsidy for the the aircraft – added Prof. Arkadiusz Tofil, rector of the PWSZ in Chełm.
The purchase will let the university save money, because the annual cost of renting a twin-engine training aircraft is almost half the price of a new machine.
Currently, the PWSZ in Chełm is educating about 150 future pilots. Thanks to the new aircraft, the air fleet of the Chełm facility will expand to 10 machines.
