The State Higher Vocational School (PWSZ) in Sanok is organizing the 7th International Scientific Conference “On the border of cultures and nations, on September 12-14, 2019. Society – Economy – Culture. “

The conference aims at meeting and dialogue between researchers on historical, social, cultural and artistic issues, especially in the context of border phenomena.

The event will be attended by researchers from Poland and abroad interested in socio-economic and cultural problems.

During the conference, participants will discuss the following topics: ways to identify the group, community, individual in relation to the “other” and “their” – conflicts or tolerance; social and cultural relations on the borderlands and at the interface of ethnos, denominations, cultures, nations; diffusion of cultures on the borderlands; value system (and anti-values) of borderland residents; sense of national identity and national minorities on the border; transformations of folk culture in the borderland; folk artist in the local community; forms of religiosity: between continuity of tradition and secularization; economic and social dilemmas of border areas; tourism as a branch of the economy of the border regions.
