The National Academic Exchange Agency (NAWA) has announced the STER Program – PhD Scholarships for foreigners. Applications in the program can be submitted by December 14, 2018.

The internationalization of PhD studies in Poland is one of the weakest links in higher education in Poland. In the academic year 2017/18, for 41532 PhD students at Polish universities, only 1687 were foreign students.
The aim of the program is to support Polish institutions providing PhD studies in activities for their internationalization. The NAWA directs it to public and non-public universities that hold the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education, scientific units of the Polish Academy of Sciences and research institutes.
