On 6 October 2023, representatives of Tianjin Chengjian University (TCU): Prof. Bai Haili, Rector of TCU, Prof. Huang Lingxiang, Dean of the International School of Engineering, and Prof. Wang Li, Director of the TCU International Cooperation Office, visited Krakow University of Technology (PK). 

During the visit, they summarised the cooperation to date between PK and TCU within the International School of Engineering (ISE), which has been officially in operation since 2021 and allows Chinese students to study under the supervision of scientists from, among others, PK and receive a double degree. 

The rectors of the two universities, Prof. Andrzej Szarata and Prof. Bai Haili, signed a letter of intent to expand the scope of the ISE, as well as a bilateral agreement on the exchange of students and academics, expanding and detailing the provisions of the document, which has been in force since 2014.

“In the current academic year, the first group of students from the Sino-Polish International School of Engineering will receive a double degree from TCU and PK. This will happen in 2024 and will be an occasion for celebration as well as a noticeable result of our cooperation”, said Prof. Andrzej Szarata.
