Institute of Polish Culture at the University of Warsaw, artists and researchers have completed the exhibition “Project Powiśle. Creative study of the city. ” It will be held on June 16 to July 15 at the Copernicus Science Center in the pavilion at the Vistula Boulevards in Warsaw.
The exhibition consists of photographs, video works, drama and interactive installations prepared mainly by students of culture animation. Dr Joanna Kubicka from the Institute of Polish Culture stressed that the students explored the social, material, visual and audial sphere of the district Powiśle, using the strategies of contemporary art. An important element of the project – says Dr. Kubicka – was their work out of the university buildings and establishing relationships with the Powiśle community.
