Anna Maria Dobiecka, a student of Spanish philology at the University of Wroclaw, received the first prize in the second competition Premio Iberoamericano de Ensayo en Polonia 2019.

For her essay entitled “Breslavia en 1438. El viajero castellano Pero Tafur y su obra Andanças e viajes”. The work describes the account of the Spanish traveler Pero Tafur from his stay in Wrocław in 1438. The laureate is a first year student of Master’s Degree in Spanish Philology at the Faculty of Philology at the Wrocław University.

The competition is addressed to students and doctoral students of Polish universities. It is organized by the embassies of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Panama, Peru, Portugal and Uruguay in Poland. The entries submitted for the competition should relate to relations between Poland and Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries.
