Ksenia Mariak, a student of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, was one of the winners of the Siemens “Female Engineers 4.0” program. The competition task was to make the film “What challenge of the modern world do I want to solve as an engineer?”
Ksenia Mariak is a student of automation and robotics, she is in the first year of her master’s studies. She will receive an award in the form of mentoring with a certified mentor from Siemens for a video about a device that monitors the conditions inside the hive by measuring the temperature, pressure level and frequency of sounds that bees emit.
“Female Engineers 4.0” is a program aimed at female students of Polish technical universities, who aim to increase their digital competences in the area of Industry 4.0. One of its main assumptions is to make young women interested in technologies aware of the multitude of career paths available to them.
