Research conducted on 2,815 people by the Analysis Center of the Independent Students’ Association (NZS) shows that according to 64 percent of the surveyed students, access to professional and free psychological assistance at Polish universities is insufficient.
According to the scientists, at the beginning of the pandemic, many students were left alone with their problems, not knowing where to seek help. The survey, consisting of 20 questions, concerned the access to psychological help at universities and the quality of support services.
93% of respondents indicated that the waiting time for an appointment with a specialist is definitely too long or quite long, and 67% of students believe that the promotion of psychological support at Polish universities is insufficient.
