Tomasz Hornik, Kinga Tchorz and Konrad Partyka, pilot students of the State Higher Vocational School (PWSZ) in Chełm, were appointed to represent Poland in the Gliding World Junior Championships, which will be held in July in Hungary.
– The appointment for the world championship is undoubtedly the fulfilment of one of my aerial dreams, it offers many possibilities and opens up more than one door in a professional career in the future – said Kinga Tchorz.
Currently, about 150 future pilots study at the PWSZ in Chełm. At the end of last year, the university purchased three new training aircrafts thanks to the subsidies from the Ministry of Science. Thus the air fleet of the Chełm school expanded to 10 planes.
