39 students from Luoyang Normal University in China will spend a semester at the University of Bialystok. University authorities expect that students from this country will come to Bialystok next year.
Chinese students will study in English. They have nearly 40 subjects to choose at six faculties: pedagogy and psychology, economics and management, law, historical-sociological, mathematics and computer science, and physics. They will not pay for participation in classes but they will cover the costs of their accommodation in dormitory. The Białystok University plans to launch paid MA studies in English for Chinese students, including such fields as international relations, computer science, pedagogy or English philology.
Internationalization of studies is one of the priorities for the authorities of the University of Bialystok. Currently, 458 foreigners are studying at the University, among which the most numerous groups are Lithuanians, Belarussians and Ukrainians.
