Students at the Gdansk University of Technology have been awarded in the “Innovations in Road Engineering” competition organised by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. The competition aims to promote the idea of entrepreneurship and innovation among the academic community and, above all, to identify the best works whose results can be applied to the road construction industry.
The best work in the ‘road materials and technologies’ category turned out to be ‘Analysis of physical and mechanical properties of deep recycling mixes stabilised with hydraulic binders with new generation additives’. Its author is Mikołaj Jonik from the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Mikolaj Janiszewski is a student at the same faculty. His thesis “Design of the Resistance Function of a Road Traffic Section with Consideration of Vehicle Sounding Data” took third place in the category “traffic engineering”.
