Students of the Academy of Technology and Humanities in Bielsko-Biała won the 9th National Competition of Universities in Emergency Medical Services. The organizer of this year’s edition of the championships, in which 25 teams competed was the Jagiellonian University.
During the competition, students had to demonstrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of medical rescue operations. Teams had to complete a total of eight tasks, with extensive medical scenarios. The rescuers had to deal with a patient with acute coronary syndrome as a result of drug use, a gunshot wound in the abdomen of a 12-year-old child, and a criminal with a bronchial asthma attack.
This is the third title for the Bielsko Academy of Technology and Humanities. Thanks to the victory next year – the tenth competition will be organized in Bielsko-Biała.
