Students of the Gdańsk University of Technology Norbert Nieżorawski, Marta Sobolewska and Maciej Winnik, together with the tutor Dr Eng. Karol Flisikowski won the first place in the national stage of the International Statistical Skills Competition and will represent Poland at the international stage.
Students prepared the thesis “The influence of blue light emitted by electrical devices on the quality of sleep”. Thanks to the victory in Poland, the team advanced to the international part of the competition as the Polish national team. The results of the competition at the international level will be announced in July.
The International Statistical Skills Competition is run by the International Association for Statistical Education. Its aim is to develop the skills of pupils and students in describing their environment with the help of statistics and using them as a tool for learning about their everyday life.
