Students of the Silesian University of Technology receive Diamond Grants

Four students and graduates of the Silesian University of Technology were among the winners of the 9th Diamond Grant program of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. The program financially supports young scientists who demonstrate impressive scientific achievements and high-quality research.

Grants for their research were obtained by: Marta Zaborowska for the project “Hybrid one-dimensional X (X = ZnO and / or TiO2) -Yb3 + / Eu3 + nanostructures obtained by hybrid methods with increased photocatalytic activity”; Agata Raczyńska for “Modifications of the surface of hydrolases degrading synthetic polymers aimed at extending the spectrum of decomposed plastics – theoretical and experimental research”; Szymon Gogoc for the project “Organic Peltier cells based on conductive polymers” and Jakub Smoleń for the project “Polyepoxide composites reinforced with carbon components, intended for tribological applications”.
