Students of the Silesian University of Technology Aleksander Spyra, Bartosz Kowalski, Przemysław Giza and Paweł Sanocki won awards in the Team Design category in the final of the European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) in Turin.

The Team Design category includes designing and constructing a device that solves a specific engineering problem (e.g. a mechanism that uses a steady stream of air to raise as much mass as possible). The category allows to check how students can cope with limited resources of materials and time.

EBEC is an international event organized by the Board of European Students of Technology. The competition is addressed to students of technical universities and include their engineering knowledge, creativity and innovative thinking. It consists of two categories: Case Study and Team Design.
