Two student teams from the University of Economics in Katowice were promoted to the second stage of the world’s largest business simulation – Global Management Challenge (GMC). 155 teams from companies and universities participated in the first part of the simulation.
Teams fought for the highest investment result of their company for 5 weeks. 60 teams including GoldenEye (students of the finance and insurance faculties, IT and communication faculties and management departments) and MGCG Managers (students of the finance and insurance faculty) from University of Economics qualified for the next competition.
GMC is the largest business simulation in the world in which several teams manage companies competing on the virtual market. The project is present in nearly 40 countries around the world. In the advanced training program GMC uses gamification, which means the use of mechanisms from computer games in business.
