Students of Banking and risk management at the Institute of Finance of the University of Economics in Krakow (UEK) have won this year’s nationwide FinSim simulation game.
This year’s competition was attended by 15 teams representing 13 Polish universities. The competition was held under the patronage of the National Bank of Poland, the Bank Guarantee Fund and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego – the founder of financial internships and awards in the Competition, the financial monthly BANK and the websites aleBank.pl and Bankier.pl.
The first place was won by the BANK WGR team representing UEK, composed of students of the UEK Banking Science Club, who achieved the best financial results in a multi-stage simulation game. The second place went to the VaBank team representing the Rzeszów University of Technology, the third place went to the Kopiec Bank team, which represented the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.
FINSIM Academic League is a modern bank management simulation game in a changing and competitive economic environment. It covers all important areas of the bank’s operation, such as financial management, data analysis, risk analysis, forecasting, planning and capital management.
