Students of the University of Opole, Bartłomiej Biernacki and Krzysztof Górecki took second and third place in the 4th National Student Contest of Knowledge on Religious Law. This year’s competition was held under the slogan “Restrictions on the freedom of conscience and religion”.
The organizers of the competition were the Polish Society for Religious Law and the Department of State and Law Studies of the Institute of Legal Sciences of the UO. Fourteen participants, representing, Jagiellonian University, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw – Faculty of Canon Law and Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Opole.
Due to the sanitary regime, the first stage of this year’s competition was preparation of a dissertation on “Constitutionality of restrictions on freedom of conscience and religion in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic”. The final, in oral form, was held using the Teams platform.
