Students of computer science at the University of Wroclaw, Jarosław Kwiecień, Michał Górniak and Anadi Agrawala, qualified for the World Team Programming Championships. They were promoted by taking 4th place in the championship of Central Europe.
Academic Team Programming Championships are organized by the Association for Computing Machinery. They are the oldest, the most prestigious and the biggest in terms of the number of participants competitions of this type. Representatives of universities from all over the world take part in them.
During the competitions, participants receive several programming tasks to solve and only one computer. Effective cooperation is extremely important in this situation, especially since every second counts – the classification takes into account both the correctness of the tasks performed and the time of solving them. And there are so many tasks that team members work on them separately, but the solutions are to write in computer files.
