Students of the IT and management department of the Wrocław University of Technology have won the European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) in Poland. They will represent Poland at the finals in Italy.

EBEC is an international competition organized in 30 countries. The event is prepared by 6 local groups from Polish technical universities – AGH Kraków and five technical universities: Gdańsk, Łódź, Silesia Warszawa and Wrocław universities. The competition was divided into four stages. The first of them was the elimination test, then the local finals were held, after which the best teams met for the nationwide competition in Gliwice.

Four teams in four categories competed in the categories: Team Design and Case Study. The first category was intended for constructors and the second one for analysts. The winning team from Wroclaw include Mateusz Zimoch, Adam Gurgul, Piotr Zieliński and Piotr Grzybowski.
