Four students from the Wrocław University of Technology have become laureates of the 8th “Diamond Grant” program sponsored by the Minister of Science and Higher Education. They will receive scholarships of PLN 220,000 for the implementation of their research projects.
The awarded students of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology are: Michał Kłask – for “Development of a method of orderly placing anisotropic nanostructures in optically active thin polymer layers and testing their optical properties”; Dorota Tomaszewska for “Non-linear conversion of the optical frequency comb into the mid-infrared spectral range for spectroscopic applications”.
Grants were also awarded to Bartosz Uniejewski for “Forecasting wholesale electricity prices for the needs of risk management: The use of regularization and forecast averaging”, as well as Grzegorz Marcjasz for “Deep learning in probability, probabilistic forecasting and trajectory of electricity prices”.
