The project of the Multicultural Student Center by students of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology was awarded as the best in the international competition “Studios KAFe 2019” organized by the Kaunas branch of the Lithuanian Architects’ Union.
The competition accompanied the Kaunas Architecture Festival, has been organized for every three years. The theme of this competition was “Architecture of characteristic points (landmarks) – creating or destroying the identity of the city”. The participants could choose one of five design themes.
Representatives of the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology: Paulina Górecka, Łukasz Gnatek and Weronika Kessler decided to deal with the concept of the Multicultural Student Center, which could be built at Vyduno Avenue, next to the Ąžuolynas Park? which is the largest municipal oak forest in Europe.
