Members of the Space Medicine Scientific Club of the Collegium Medicum of the University of Zielona Góra became the finalists of the European Space Agency competition – Orbit Your Thesis!.

Jakub Szczepański, Jakub Goławski and Karol Marciniak belong to the inter-university team Plan A. Together with their colleagues from the Gdańsk and Wrocław Technological Universities and the Medical University of Wrocław they have developed an experiment proposal that they want to carry out at the International Space Station. The European Space Agency liked the project so much that the team of Plan A was invited to the Agency’s headquarters to present their idea.

This is not the first success of Gdańsk students. Last year, their ANTARES project joined the finalists of the prestigious Rexus / Bexus competition also organized by the European Space Agency. The club also runs the PROCJON research project and finalizes preparations for its own stratospheric mission.
