Students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology awarded in the national competition StRuNa

The Scientific Club for Vehicles and Mobile Robots (PIRM) operating at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology won the national StRuNa competition in the Science Club of the Year category. PWR Racing Team took first place in the “Media” category.

PIRM brings together about 40 automotive enthusiasts who specialize in the design and construction of light electric motorcycles. Students have already developed seven two-wheelers, including food scooters, electric bicycles, police vehicles and motocross motorcycles.

PWR Racing Team specializes in designing racing cars, and it is currently gathering over 60 students from several faculties of Wrocław University of Science and Technology and other Wrocław universities.

StRuNa is a program to promote the scientific achievements of students and doctoral students, implemented by the Foundation “Fund Aid to Students” under the patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education. For eleven years, the competition has awarded the scientific activity of student clubs and other student organizations during the past academic year.
