The Minister of Maritime Economy and Inland Navigation Marek Gróbarczyk assumed to support the course of the revitalization of waterways, conducted at the Institute of Geography at the University of Casimir the Great in Bydgoszcz. This is a unique course on the scale of Europe.

Modern engineering studies will prepare specialists in the field of comprehensive management of inland waterways. Students will acquire specialist knowledge in the field of natural and technical sciences, in the fields related to navigation, transport and logistics, engineering design, river information systems or the functioning of the water environment.

Students interested in working as a member of a crew can take up professional practice in shipping companies in Poland and abroad. Students educated in the revitalization of waterways will obtain basic navigation rights and receive a certificate of a seaman, which can be upgraded as a part of their apprenticeship to the further shipping levels.
