Studies of exact sciences of the University of Warsaw (UW) were ranked in the first hundred of the prestigious Shanghai’s Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2020.

Shanghai Ranking Consultancy also publishes the most famous academic ranking in the world- the Academic Ranking of World Universities, known as the Shanghai List, which will be published this year for the eighteenth time.

Thematic rankings were published on Monday, June 29.

The University of Warsaw informed that, “Astronomy & Physics and Mathematics of the University of Warsaw took high positions in this year’s Shanghai ranking of scientific fields, ranking 51-75 and 76-100, respectively, of 500 listed units”.

The ranking included a total of 12 scientific disciplines from the University of Warsaw, including also: Public administration (151-200); Ecology (201-300); Law (201-300) Atmospheric science (301-400); Political sciences (301-400); Psychology (301-400); Biotechnology (401-500); Chemistry (401-500); Economics (401-500); Materials science and engineering (401-500).
