Twelve medals – four gold, five silver and three bronze – were won by Polish representatives at the International Championships in Mathematical and Logical Games. For two days at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, nearly 400 people from eleven countries competed in eight categories.

The event, often referred to as the unofficial world championships, was traditionally held in Paris, but for the past two years the location of the final competition has been mobile. In 2022, it was hosted in Lausanne, Switzerland, and this year – for the first time ever – it was held in Poland. It is already known that next year the finals will again be held in Paris.

The event at Wrocław University of Science and Technology was accompanied by demonstrations and popular science lectures, games and attractions organised by scientific circles, as well as the opening of the exhibition ‘Matheliebe. Fall in love with mathematics’, which shows the exciting world of mathematics in a new, attractive and accessible way for everyone. The exhibition in the Bibliotech can be viewed until 30 November.
