The team of the Bydgoszcz University Prof. Mariusz Kaczmarek, Dr Marek Macko, Dr Dariusz Mikołajewski and Zbigniew Szczepański and Prof. Aleksandra Gocha and Dr Emilia Mikołajewska from theTorun University was awarded with a gold medal. They constructed a passive exoskeleton for the treatment of children with upper limb myalgia, using 3D printing technology.
The device is built individually for each patient; and it is an element of personalized patient-tailored therapy. Lack of engine and computer lowers its weight, which reduces the effort of the limbs. The exoskeleton was awarded with special prizes by the leaders of the Canadian and Romanian delegations.
The gold medal was also awarded to Dr Marek Macko and MA Zbigniew Szczepański for elaborating the innovative, fast procedure of creating teeth replica.
Earlier, we informed that research and development teams from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw and the Academy of Science and Technology in Częstochowa were also awarded with gold medals in Bangkok.
