Students and graduates of the Faculty of Architecture of Poznan University of Technology took first place in the competition for the concept of a vantage point for the construction of the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. The pavilion will be built in spring 2020.
Their design has the form of a frame placed on a platform to watch the construction of the Museum. The scaffolding forming the viewpoint corresponds to the daily life of the construction site. The simplicity of form and the use of steel construction as the main architectural means of expression give the block a light character.
The jury appreciated the simplicity of the project, which accompanies the ongoing construction, but at the same time does not deepen the visual chaos of the downtown and full of colorful advertisements of the frontage of Marszałkowska Street. The selected technology allows recycling most of the materials, and its main building material – tube-coupling scaffoldings will be reused after dismantling the installation.
